Let’s create Lipsticks at home!

Using  Crayola crayons as lipstick is completely safe! they are not toxic, and contain bright vibrant colors. Crayola Crayons are made out of wax and non-toxic pigment so they are safe to put on your lips and will leave a long lasting finish! This is very easy to do, and the materials are very easy to get, besides it is an excellent opportunity to test colors you never dare to buy, such as yellow, green, blue, etc. You can do this tutorial at home and you will save a lot of money. I hope you try different colors, and have fun.  So, without further adieu, let’s get started!

For this idea you will need

• Crayons (crayola)
• Coconut oil
• Popsicle sticks (or something else disposable)
• 1/2 tablespoon measuring spoon
• A pan
• Small glass bowl
• Small plastic containers

First you should choose the colors of Crayons that fit you, and that you want your lipstick shade to be!

Fill your pan with a few inches of water and put it on the stove on a low heat. While the water is warming up, you can peel all of the paper off of your Crayon(s). (The more crayon you have in the mixture, the more it will show up)

Then, you should measure a 1/2 tablespoon of coconut oil and place it in your small bowl. You will need 1 bowl for each of your Crayon colors, so if you decide on trying more this way your colors done mix! Then you can place your bowl in the pan of water, that’s right, actually place the bowl itself into the water, do not dump out the contents into the water.

Get your Crayon(s) and once you’ve broken them into fourths, place them in your bowl with the coconut oil and stir thoroughly with a popsicle stick until it’s melted!

Once it’s fully melted pour it into your plastic container, Or whatever container you’re going to be using to store the mixture.

*Tip* You can also glue or tape the paper of the crayon onto your container with the shade of lipstick, so you remember which color you used!

Once you are done you can apply the product onto your lips, you may need to apply more than one coat depending on the pigment of your chosen colors. Remember, only use Crayola Crayons when following this guide, other crayons can contain toxins that could cause harm if swallowed. If you use any crayon brand besides Crayola I recommend calling the poison control services immediately to provide further instruction.

This is a wonderful, cheap way to get expensive colors, and an inexpensive price. It can also be a lovely gift for a friend if you decide that you’re not happy with the color on your complexion. This is incredibly easy, and can be used everyday!! Practice this safely, and enjoy your beautiful, radiant, inexpensive, long lasting lipstick!!
